The resulting ASTD Research focused on Training and Development’s role.  396 T&D professionals across all industries and organization sizes from a survey administered in September of 2013, and includes a foreword and “Recommendations to Start Training for Innovation” from Legrand. Nearly all respondents (98 percent), strongly agree or agree that innovation is important for the future success of their organization. However, only 19 percent of survey participants indicated working for a very innovative organization.

We know that good training and development occurs through teams. So we were not surprised to learn that the percentage is so low. Not only will lack of a good team charter derail it but so will group storming behavior, which is for the most part is cut very short with TIGERS team catalytic resources and the decisions team members make from the start.

For those of you joining us at the Six Principles That Build High Performance Teams two-day seminar you will be able to experiment with these resources while we take you through the steps and processes that lead to workforce development plans that roll out with high levels of commitment and accountability.
